You travel with an expert Egyptologist guide, internal flights included, and hand-picked hotels – at a comfortable, halal-friendly pace.
Your representative meets you, assists with your visa on arrival and transfers you to the hotel. The afternoon is free to take a first look at this vast, ancient city.
A full day among the wonders: the Pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx, the ancient capital of Memphis and the step pyramid of Sakkara, with lunch at a local restaurant.
Visit the Egyptian Museum and its quarter-million artifacts, the medieval Cairo Citadel, and the labyrinthine Khan el-Khalili bazaar of spice stalls and artisan workshops.
Fly south to Luxor. In the afternoon, walk the immense halls of Karnak, over 3,000 years old, and the temple of Luxor, touched by Tutankhamun and Alexander the Great.
Cross to the West Bank for the Valley of the Kings and the tomb of Tutankhamun, the temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the towering Colossi of Memnon.
Travel to Aswan with stops at the twin temple of Kom Ombo and its crocodile museum, and the beautifully preserved Temple of Horus at Edfu.
Fly to Abu Simbel for the UNESCO rock temples and their colossal statues of Ramses II. Back in Aswan, visit the island temple of Philae and sail the Nile by felucca.
A transfer to Aswan airport for your flight to Cairo and onward home – or ask us to add a Nile cruise, the Red Sea at Hurghada or a few days in Alexandria.

Yes. Egypt is a Muslim-majority country, so halal food is the norm and mosques are everywhere. We are glad to note prayer stops and any dietary needs on your booking.
The internal flights (Cairo-Luxor and Aswan-Abu Simbel) are included. The advertised price is otherwise land-only; we can add your international flights from Montreal or any Canadian city for a complete package.
A fair amount, on uneven and sometimes sandy ground at the temples and tombs, and it can be hot. We keep a comfortable pace with rest and shade, and comfortable shoes and a hat are ideal.
October to April brings the most comfortable temperatures for sightseeing in Cairo and along the Nile. Summers are very hot in the south. We run this tour year-round on private dates.
