Our Majestic Morocco tour is a 12-day loop through the country's greatest hits: Casablanca and its towering Hassan II Mosque, the souks and palaces of Marrakech, a crossing of the High Atlas to the film-set kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, the dunes of the Sahara by 4×4 and camel, and the medieval medina of Fez. You travel in a small group with an expert English-speaking tour manager, four-star riads and hotels, and a halal-friendly rhythm – with a cooking class and desert night woven in.
Met at the airport and transferred to your hotel, with a welcome dinner to settle into Morocco's biggest city.
Tour Casablanca – the interior of the Hassan II Mosque, the Corniche, Mohammed V Square and the Habous quarter – then drive south to Marrakech.
Explore the Koutoubia Mosque, the Bahia Palace with its zellige tilework, the artisan souks and the Dar El Bacha museum, ending on the electric Jemaa el-Fna. Dinner comes with Moroccan music and entertainment.
A relaxed day with optional excursions to the Ourika Valley. In the evening, a hands-on Moroccan cooking class at a country farm – you prepare the meal, then sit down to enjoy it.
Cross the High Atlas by the Tichka Pass and tour Ait Ben Haddou, the UNESCO-listed clay kasbah famous from countless films, before arriving in the Dades valley of canyons and rose gardens.
Drive through the sheer walls of the Todra Gorge and on to Erfoud, gateway to the Sahara, for dinner and the night at a desert kasbah.
A full day by 4×4 across Erg Chebbi – the Rissani souk, lunch in the village of Tissardmine, and a camel ride into the Merzouga dunes to watch the sun set over the sand.
Head north over the Middle Atlas, passing the alpine town of Ifrane and the cedar forests of Azrou, arriving in Fez with its sea of medina rooftops.
A local expert leads you through Fez el-Bali, the UNESCO medina: the souks, the Nejjarine fountain and museum, the 14th-century Attarine madrasa, then Fez Jdid, the Jewish Quarter and the Royal Palace gates.
A free day to wander the medina at your own pace, or join an optional wine tasting and vineyard lunch at Domaine de la Zouina.
Tour the Roman ruins of Volubilis – triumphal arches, a forum and superb mosaics – then continue to the capital, Rabat, for the Hassan Tower and the Kasbah of the Udayas. A farewell dinner closes the trip.
After breakfast, a transfer to Casablanca airport for your flight home – or ask us to add a few days on the coast at Essaouira or in Chefchaouen, the blue city.
